Privacy Policy

Foreword

We have written this Privacy Policy, and all our other legal documents, in plain English wherever possible. We want you to understand what you are agreeing to when you use Helix and its associated services.

Definitions

In this document, case sensitivity is not important, for example "Helix" and "helix" mean the same thing. Likewise for plurals and singulars, for example "Helix" and "Helixes" mean the same thing.

The Helix suite of software, including Helix Dispatch, Helix Profile and any other service, website or software directly developed by us.

The end-user of Helix, whether an individual or an organisation.

The company behind Helix, registered in England and Wales.

RedEye Technologies on behalf of Helix.

Any service provided by Helix, including software, websites, and support services.

Organisation

The entity using Helix, whether a business, charity, or other entity.

What data do we collect?

We collect the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)

  • Information about the organisation you represent, are employed by, or are a member of

  • Information about the devices you use to access our services

  • Information about your interactions with our services

  • Telemetry data about the performance of our services

  • Voice data (subject to the use of certain features)

How do we collect your data?

Simply put, we collect your data through the use of our services. This data is collected in a variety of ways, including:

  • Automated interactions with our services, including data submitted by your organisation's systems

  • Third-party interactions, such as integrations with other services

Emergency Data Sharing Protocol

RedEye Technologies operates an Emergency Data Sharing Protocol (EDSP) across all its services. This protocol allows us to share data with emergency services and other organisations in the event of an emergency where the data is necessary to protect life or property. This protocol is only used in the event of an emergency, and is subject to strict controls and oversight.

How do we store your data?

We store your data securely on our servers. We take all reasonable precautions to ensure your data is secure and protected from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Information is stored entirely within the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK), and is not transferred outside of these areas unless necessary to provide our services to you.

Marketing

Subject to your consent, we may send you marketing communications about our services. You have the right to opt out of these communications at any time. We will make it easy for you to do so.

What are your data protection rights?

You have the right to:

We use cookies and local browser storage to provide our services to you. You can control the use of cookies and local browser storage through your browser settings, however, you cannot opt out of the use of cookies and local browser storage entirely as they are necessary for the operation of our services.

Privacy policies of other websites

Our services may contain links to other websites. Our Privacy Policy applies only to our services, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy at any time. If we make changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our services. If you continue to use our services after the changes are made, you are agreeing to the new Privacy Policy.
